It has been another busy week and I have another top tip for a fantastic read for you. Written by one of the busiest wedding co-ordinators in the UK, Tamryn Kirby's Wedding Secrets got a rave review from our staff reviewer.
I asked Tamryn why she wrote the book, and here is her reply:
"This book came about because I wanted to give lots of practical, helpful and personal advice to brides-to-be. There are lots of books that are full of pretty pictures but a photo of a favour box isn't much help when you're setting budgets, sourcing suppliers, selecting venues and doing all the other 101 things that wedding planning demands! I've worked on hundreds of weddings and I learn new things at each one so there are lots of my tips throughout as well - it's like having a wedding planner in your pocket! I also didn't like the 'attitude' of some books in the marketplace - weddings don't have to have certain things to be fabulous, you don't have to spend a certain amount to have an amazing day and you certainly don't have to do what someone else tells you. Weddings should be fun, personal and as enjoyable as possible - I hope my book helps brides make their big day exactly that."

WeddingPath review of Tamryn Kirby's Wedding Secrets, published by Foulsham. Priced £8.99:
"It's hard to believe that this neat, handbag-sized book contains so much invaluable information, but check it out for yourself! You're in safe hands from the start as wedding planner Tamryn offers the benefit of her experience on everything from catering contracts to beauty hints. Most couples have no idea of the practicalities that contribute to a fantastic wedding day, but the suggestions in this book will help you ensure, for example, that evening guests feel just as welcome as ceremony guests, and that your day doesn't become just a blur of formalities.
Not that this book is all about the practicalities. It's not just the usual, formulaic set of checklists to go through (although there are some useful lists where needed). In fact, by the time you've finished reading you are likely to feel like you have a new best friend who just happens to be a wedding expert - as well as an air of confidence that your big day will be the best it possibly can be."
You can read the full review here. If you buy the book via Tamryn's website, she will sign and dedicate the book for WeddingPath members.
As always, we love to hear your views, so if you have read the book then please tell us and other members what you think about it here.

The new Apple iBride range (just kidding).
This week's hot topic is all about wedding gowns. Want to see what other WP b2bs are wearing on their wedding day? Want to share pics of your dress?... here is the place to do it.

If you are wearing you hair up on your wedding day then you may want to consider washing your hair the night before, instead of on the day - recently washed hair is often harder to manage.
Have a fabtastic week.
Love and apples!!!
