We all want soft, glowing skin on our big day but it’s not easy finding the right body lotion to suit everyone. So resident bride-to-be Cheryl has rounded up three of her favourites…
Huni, honey——————————————————————————
What is it? Huni is a new, natural fragrance-free skincare range made with Manuka honey and is great for sensitive skin. Specifically formulated to help minimise fine lines and wrinkles, Manuka honey helps promote the rapid regeneration of skin cells and the creation of new collagen to firm and tone the skin.
Tried & tested The Huni All Day Body Lotion (£25 for 250ml) is blended with macadamia oil to provide protection to the skin from the drying effects of everyday elements.
Where to get it: Available from Selfridges, Harrods, Wholefoods, all good health stores and online at Huni.
Cheryl’s verdict: This is quite pricey but it soaked into my skin really quickly and left it feeling soft. It has a lovely, subtle smell of sweet honey too.
Round the clock———————————————
What is it? We’re no strangers to the E45 range of creams and lotions, but the new Endless Moisture body care range has been specially formulated for different skin types from normal to very dry, and all products are lightweight, hypoallergenic and quickly absorbed.
Tried & tested E45 Endless Moisture Light Caring Body Milk (£3.99 for 200ml) for normal to dry skin contains a unique complex of natural lipid and glycerine that work to replenish lost moisture, then build and maintain hydration in your skin for at least 24 hours.
Where to get it Available from Boots and supermarkets.
Cheryl’s verdict: This is actually my favourite – the price is so reasonable that I can use it every day, and it really does leave my skin with that just-moisturised feeling all day.
Simply organic———————————————————————
What is it? The Florame ‘Pleasure of Plants’ range of organic body lotions, bubble baths and shower gels, made from organic essential oils is divine.
Tried & tested The Rosewood body lotion (£12.50 for 500ml) has a combination of organic rosewood essential oil, sunflower seed oil and shea butter to help retain elastin and to give the skin a smooth, youthful feeling.
Where to get it The range is available at Florame.co.uk.
Cheryl’s verdict: This has a gentle fragrance of rose and did leave my skin feeling soft but it does take slightly longer to absorb than the other two. The 500ml bottle means that you won’t run out in a hurry though!
