French President Nicolas Sarkozy has wed his girlfriend, Carla Bruni, in a ceremony in Paris according to reports in the press. The wedding, if confirmed, comes after weeks of speculation about the couple's over-exposed love affair, which has gripped the French nation.
Earlier today, French radio station RTL said the couple wed at the Elysee Palace, the president's official residence. The marriage was conducted by François Lebel, mayor of Eighth Arrondissement of Paris.
