Robbie Williams has booked at comeback gig - for Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie's wedding. The wedding will be held on the banks (some would say 'Bonnie') of Loch Lomond and April 19th. The star-studded guest list will include Hugh Grant, Prince Andrew and DJ Chris Evans will be compere.
Colin Montgomerie proposed to fiancée Gaynor Knowles in September last year with a 6 Carat RBC (Round Brilliant Cut). Montgomerie and Williams evidently became chums after a celebrity golf match in 2005, and let's face it Williams could use the gig - after all he is estimated to only have £130 million. -
Penguin marriage rituals 9058 views
A report out in next month’s Scientific American magazine shows that several species of penguins have highly ritualised marriage ceremonies, similar to humans.
It has been known for a long time that, in penguins, monogamous breeding pairs commonly stay together for life but only recently has the initial 'bonding' ceremony been witnessed.
Evidently the happy couple are accompanied by family members and friends - usually to a place of quiet and scenic beauty, where a ‘minister’ penguin marries them. The photo above shows a couple (the female is the short one in the foreground) and their 'minister' penguin. The ceremony takes about twenty minutes for Emperor penguins, and ends with the 'happy couple' exchanging tokens - usually regurgitated fish. The minister then vocalises something to the congregation (the report states that they have no idea what the vocalisations mean, but think it is a pronouncement of 'man and wife') and then the couple kiss.
The wedding party then retires elsewhere and eats a feast together, punctuated with individuals standing on an ice podium (called a Polar Foil) and 'vocalising' - presumably adding their best wishes. Finally the couple leave and spend the next two weeks alone in their nest. I wonder how much the average penguin wedding costs?
NOTE: It is afternoon now, so I guess I should come clean. Some of you might of noticed 'Polar Foil' is an anagram!

You have to love the web, rumours just fly by at the speed of sound. This last weekend there was a big wedding in New Orleans for a prominent wealthy family, and the lavish decorations and police escort sparked rumours that it was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding.
All sorts of websites carried news of these 'secret' nuptials, with details including the church where they were 'married' - so why didn't you read about it on WeddingPath? Well, as you know, our very own Margo is hooked into celeb circles and a quick call to a secret admirer of hers soon made it clear that all the rumours were just...rumours.

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller plan beach wedding 12078 views
Charlie Sheen and his fiancée Brooke Mueller were originally planning to have a huge wedding bash, but have decided to go for a more intimate beach wedding instead. Sheen, 41, proposed during a romantic dinner with an 11-carat $500,000 engagement ring while the couple were holidaying in Costa Rica last July.
Real estate investor Mueller, 29, has said she would like to have a "couple of children at least" and she "adores" Sheen's daughters, two-year-old Lola and three-year-old Sam, from his previous marriage to actress Denise Richards.
Sheen has had his share of controversy, in 1990, he accidentally shot Kelly Preston, his then-fiancée, in the arm. She suffered only a minor injury requiring two stitches, but unsurprisingly the relationship ended shortly thereafter. Sheen was also among Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss's list of her most frequent customers, and is alleged to have had a cocaine addiction.
In 1997 he told Empire magazine that he once had sex with "...five girls at once. It was a pile-up...and it wasn't so much about going Caligula, it was very organized. Very ordered...all six people in that room came out of it pretty satisfied"
Now with his bad boy image seemingly behind him, Sheen is the star of the popular TV show Two and a Half Men. Best of luck to the couple. -
Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin wedding plans 8772 views
Coleen McLoughlin and finance Wayne Rooney are going to have a £3 million four-day wedding extravaganza on the French Riviera this summer.
A group of 60 family and friends will travel by private jet to the Cote d’Azur for the ceremony and the guests have been told to keep June 10 to June 14 free. June 12th is the predicted day for the big event, but guests won't know until the last minute.
McLoughlin will wear a £100,000 dress by New York fashion designers Marchesa, and the celebrations will include a 'classic black and white' themed ball.
Rooney and McLoughlin have been paid £2.5 million by a magazine for exclusive coverage of the event. Is it just me or does anyone else think that as Rooney and McLoughlin are already minted they might of shown a bit of class and not sold the rights to their special day? Let's face it though, the words 'Rooney', 'McLoughlin' and 'class' are never going to show up in the same sentence are they. Meoooow!
