Need some ideas and inspiration for your first dance? A recent survey has revealed the most popular first dance songs as well as the choices of dream bands to play at wedding receptions.
If money was no object, which band would play at your wedding? The results are in, with a whopping 50% of brides and grooms-to-be choosing the Northern heart-throbs, Take That as their perfect band. And for the dancing queen's out there, Swedish group, ABBA came highly recommended as well, with three out of ten couples choosing to hear ABBA's cheesy love songs, according to a survey carried out by the National Wedding Show. Then there's the all-important first dance, with nearly half of the couples asked opting to dance to the timeless Frank Sinatra with his all-time favourite, 'I Get A Kick Out Of You'. Following closely behind were rock band, Aerosmith with one third of couples choosing their powerful ballad, 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' as their ultimate first dance song.
First dance decisions have been a hot topic in the WeddingPath forums as well, with some couples choosing to dance a waltz or a rumba such as LizW2B choosing, 'The Closest Thing To Crazy' by
Katie Melua. Aerosmith appeared to be a favourite too with both MrsKirkham2B and Selina4shaun070707 choosing the rockers as their first dance song. Fizzy and Lisa4Lee on the other hand decided to go with Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together' whilst Elton John proved to be another popular choice, especially with 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight' chosen by both Clairemartin and KLKitch. RECEPTION Making It 11090 views

Here is another fabulous idea for budding D.I.Y. brides! This time we go Blue Peter style with Konnie Huq at the helm, telling us how to make the best of our wedding paraphernalia, with a bit of clever Kodak software.
Even though Konnie Huq's Blue Peter days are over, she is putting her skills and creativity into good use, by launching the brand new Kodak Creative Lab. The queen of crafts is urging all Britons to dig out old photos from under the bed, including those wedding photos, and to turn them into something creative and fun rather than let them gather dust where they're not seen. Konnie comments, 'When it comes to
being creative with your pictures, the sky’s the limit! You’re only bound by your imagination.'The new Kodak Creative Lab provides ideas and inspiration to do more with your photos, from creating albums and invitations to gift ideas and even puzzles! So girls, whether it is for the invites or for table favours, it's definitely worth a try! Even better, you can create your own scrapbook following your hen weekend which could include
photos, tickets, receipts, postcards and any other memorabilia that you collected, providing the ultimate gift for a bride2be, or simply a fantastic memento of all the fun you had. You could do the same for your honeymoon too. Konnie suggests, 'Combine the pictures with all of
your other memorabilia. You can create a totally unique travel guide’. So, get busy and get making with this new software, creating scrapbooks and many more things to cherish all of those memories of your big day. For more inspiration and ideas, as well as the guide online and to download your own copy, visit kodak.com/go/creativelab.
