The good news is that the collection is found in the affordable shopping aisles of Bhs. Tomorrow we are looking forward to sharing WP bride, Sarah's happy day in Cornwall, festooned with pretty butterflies and touches of blue. If you still need to burn off some of that festive feasting, check our new diet review on Wednesday. Couples in search of a venue with a difference will love the farm setting Cheryl checks out on Thursday - get your white wellies out. To end the week, we look into that sticky question - is it ok to ask for money on your gift list?

PS Remember that you need to enter our Bridal Pampering Competition by the end of the week - we'll announce the winner here next Monday.

We have been chatting to photographers over the last few weeks as we are putting together the ultimate 'photography planning tool' (soon to be a free download at WP!). We have some great tips this week from top wedding photographer, Randolph Quan.

The first step in choosing your wedding photographer is actually very easy - you just need to get on. Randolph suggests hiring a photographer for some engagement photos to test the waters. 'If you feel comfortable, ask them their worst wedding experience. Their response should speak volumes for their professionalism', says Randolph.

Next you need to check out a photographer's portfolio. Are they in the right place at the right time? 'An impressive selection of shots from different weddings is encouraging', says Randolph, 'but look for consistency throughout specific albums.'

Once you have crossed these hurdles you need to talk through some of the details. Discuss the style of photography you want on the day. Randolph says, 'wedding photography generally falls into two camps: reportage, or formal. The former, photojournalistic approach will capture the warmth and dynamism of the day, whilst the latter, staged style will provide a focal centre-piece for your album. However, nothing is set in stone. It is, after all, your day and yours alone. So, think about having fun with the traditional set-pieces.'

Finally, Randolph says, 'be clear who you are speaking to. With larger companies you may find yourself speaking to a salesman or a photographer more senior than the one responsible for shooting your day. Don’t settle for anyone besides the professional behind the camera on the day.'

If you've been glued to BBC3 like us at 9pm every Tuesday, then get ready for tomorrow. We've got a sneak peek of the bride and the plot...it looks like it could all go horribly wrong!

Linda the bride is a self confessed control freak and she hates themes, but her groom decides to go for a Las Vegas theme reception with showgirls, giant dice and a Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

On the day of the wedding a series of delays adds to the stress for the bride and it is not helped that the makeup style dictated to the make up artist by the groom makes Linda look like a clown. She insists on having it taken off and starting again.

The bridesmaids' outfits arrive very late - and when they do their shoes don’t fit properly. Already massively delayed for the ceremony, there is not enough room in the wedding transport to get Linda to the wedding! So she is offered a lift in her dad's car - which is covered in dog hair.

So did Linda make the right decision when she agreed to accept £12,000 from BBC3 towards the cost of her wedding? Was the condition for the groom to be in charge of wedding plans too much to ask?

We've had some great forum discussions in Wedding Talk about the series - click here to read!

Eco weddings are the way to go and with the price of petrol on the up, who needs a limo to get to the church on time? A few weekends ago, bride and groom, Stefanie and Robert took the tube - it was the perfect 'green wedding' day.

On Saturday 12th July, no ordinary wedding took place - and their choice of transport was just as unique. The London-based couple decided to go green and take the tube from their local station, Dollis Hill to Marylebone registry office. Perhaps not the most glamorous entrance, it fitted in with the eco-friendly wedding the couple had planned. Bride Stefanie commented, 'It was important for both of us to have an environmentally friendly wedding. I encouraged my relatives to travel over from Germany by Eurostar or by coach, as opposed to flying the short distance.' While husband Robert says, 'We live quite close to our local station in Dollis Hill and the registry office is not far from Baker Street station, so what better way to travel there than by Tube?'

And the green wedding didn't stop there with most aspects being eco-friendly from Stefanie's second-hand engagement ring to her dress which was made from dyable and reusable material and the wedding stationery, homemade using recycled card. Even the catering at the reception was made using local produce, including an organic wedding cake. The couple carried on in true eco-warrior style with a honeymoon trip around Europe by train. Perhaps we should all take a leaf out of their book. Fancy a green wedding anyone?
