We have a new blog from a real bride starting this week. Welcome Yasmine! As an ex-editor at Brides magazine, Yasmine has masses of wedding know-how to share with WP as well as a wedding of her own to plan for September.
The story so far…
Teenage sweethearts, Griff and I met at university. We had been dating for over a decade (on and off!) when he got down on one knee on the windswept coast of the picturesque Greek island of Santorini. Such a romantic proposal demanded an equally lush setting for the wedding, so after much deliberation, we decided to get married in the beautiful hills of Tuscany. The perfect destination for culture vultures, wine lovers and ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ fans. But how easy is it to organise a wedding in another country? July is almost out, but we still have lots of WP weddings to look forward to in August so keep an eye on our daily news for updates and top tips.
We are kicking off the week with a little note about teal. It is a gorgeous colour for bridesmaids dresses and makes for really striking photos as you'll see tomorrow when we feature WP bride, Andrea's real wedding day in Derby. On Wednesday, we've come across some essential honeymoon packing which will definitely cut down on shoe baggage. Thursday's venue is one for true romantics, set on the Cornish coast with its own private island. It seems that marriage may well be on the cards for pop princess Kylie Minogue if recent reports are to be believed. Kylie has recently been hinting that things are getting even more serious with her Spanish model boyfriend, Andres Velencoso. Kylie was presented with a rose by Andres’ parents on St Jordi’s Day in Spain, which is the St Valentines Day equivalent. And the couple have certainly been spotted looking loved-up recently with holidays abroad together, and perhaps Andres’ parents acceptance is a sign that a wedding is on the way!

- Brad and Angelina are reportedly getting hitched, wanting to quash rumours of their separation. The rumours are that it will take place in New Orleans where they have a home, with their six children heavily involved in the ceremony.
- Reese Witherspoon has reportedly picked out an unusual wedding dress for her wedding to actor Jake Gyllenhaal, despite not actually announcing their engagement. The colour of the dress has not been revealed, but her daughter is supposedly acting as flower girl in a miniature version of it.
- Dancing on Ice winner Suzanne Shaw has married DJ Jason King in a seaside wedding in Dorset. The couple were engaged last August when Suzanne was previously engaged to Darren Day. Also, former Hear’Say bandmates Danny and Noel were reportedly on the guest list despite the hushed up ceremony!
