Emma is putting a few 'life plans' on hold so that she can get in with enjoying planning her big day.
It feels like I've been neglecting the wedding plans over the last few weeks. Although, I’ve not done too badly – the registrar is booked and I’ve posted the deposits for the ceremony and reception – but I’ve had other things on my mind.
We're in the process of selling our flat at the moment and it seems to be rather taking
over our lives. We decided to put it on the market late last year as we’d been talking about making babies and wanted to get prepared.
But with the wedding now on the horizon the baby plans have been shelved (at least until the middle of next year) so we're less motivated to sell than we were to start with.
We've been to see so many places now it feels like they are all merging in to one, and it turns out there is a really limited selection that suits our needs and budget on the market at the moment.
All we can do is keep looking until we find something we really feel is worth moving for. It's just all a bit exhausting really and I feel the wedding plans are quite enough to think about right now.

Emma has come over all glamorous and booked her make up artist for the wedding – ooh, get her!
I’m very lucky that one of my neighbours from childhood is now a professional hair and make up artist - and she is still based in our local area. She’s really talented and has a raft of credits from the film and television world under her belt. Most importantly for me,
however, she’s someone I know and can trust. I plan to use as many local suppliers as I can for my wedding day, not least because it’s important to keep local businesses going, but again from the point of view of trust. I’m pretty confident that the locals where I grew up won’t let me down!
You hear plenty of ‘weddings from hell’ stories where suppliers don't turn up on the day so I'm determined to pick a dream team!
