Pamper days are an increasingly popular choice for brides-to-be looking for a chance to spend quality time with close friends and family before their ‘big day’. So we check out the hen parties on offer at Bannatynes.
Going for a pamper day with a group of friends is a welcome sanctuary from the wedding plans as well as getting you into tip top beauty condition for the big day. Justin Musgrove, Bannatyne’s Group Spa Director, said: “Getting married is a wonderful life event, but can also be one of the most stressful. For brides looking for an intimate and memorable way to spend time with their closest friends, a pamper day is an excellent choice."
Bannatyne’s has 30 spas across the UK, offering pamper day packages for hen parties of all sizes. Dual treatment rooms allow friends to have treatments together - ideal for hen parties. At any of the Bannatyne spas you can pick and choose how you wish to spend your day from the range of treatments on offer, such as a relaxing massage or facial, or a pedicure or spray tan. Hen parties can also
use the swimming pool, have full use of the state-of-the-art facilities in the health club and take part in any classes they wish. There are also relaxing spaces to sit together and enjoy each other’s company, while you reenergise and unwind.
Hen party packages at Bannatyne’s start from £45 per person. The Spas are open to all and visitors can also take advantage of free parking facilities at most sites. Bannatyne’s treatments use products from leading beauty brands, including Elemis, Leighton Denny Nails, Bare Escentuals Mineral Make Up and St Tropez Spray Tan.

All over the nation, thousands of couples walked up the aisle last week, because the second weekend in August is officially the most popular time of year to get hitched.
What’s more, an increasing number of couples are tying the knot on a Friday rather than a Saturday as you might expect. Over the past five years Friday weddings have increased in popularity by 5%. This equates to around 12,000 extra couples marrying on Fridays every year.
Over the same period Saturday weddings have decreased in popularity by the same amount, 5%. But there are no changes when it comes to August. It remains the most popular month to marry with 1 in 5 choosing this month for their celebration – that’s around 50,000 couples placing their faith in the British summer!Wedding insurance manager Darren Mabley-Jones says,
“The traditional Saturday wedding in August remains the most popular choice for couples planning to tie the knot. However, many couples
are starting to turn to a Friday for their celebration instead, perhaps to ensure they get the venue they want, but also to save money on hire charges."
The least popular times to get married are the month of January and Tuesdays. Less than 2% of couples chose to marry at this time. So if you are hunting out a venue bargain, go for a Tuesday in January - althoug bear in mind, the wedding guests might not be too happy!
These statistics are drawn from weddings Ecclesiastical insures direct and through Marks & Spencer.
